A Christmas spectacle

If you thought the christmas cake was Japans worse abomination of the
holidays…here’s a worthy contender. Christmas illumination &
lasershow. The theme…not snow but water and waves. Laser shooting
out of the blue sea. Of course.

Obviously this spectacle isn’t a match for the christmas tradition of
couples dumping their families to retreat to love hotels for
copulation (guessing both santa and jesus twists and turns in agony
over that one), I just wanted to throw that one in there.

Outside my office, btw. Nicer pic here.

Greenery turning red

The park next to the office is turning redish.
Like last year I might be compelled to go. Compelled by my creative
director who insist on ‘showing me Japan’ despite having stayed here 8
years.

🙂

The 10.000 yen dinner

Chef came out of the home made kitchen (home made as in they had rebuilt a house/home into this resturaunt) talking about where the fish had swum.

I suppose that makes a difference; just as the grass cows eats really differs from the grass on the other side. With pollution in the mix, who would think genes matters?

That aside – as with most overpriced foods, goods and services: pretty great stuff.

By the way, there’s a bone in sea bream shaped like a fish:

More in Japanese.

Rolled up

Roll sushi homeparty.
The Japanese burrito?

Lunches

Taste better up in the clouds. Even if what I'm eating is fried onions.

Marius

Sadly Marius, beloved family-member, passed away a few hours ago. 18(?) years old.

Have been, and always will be, thinking of our little guy daily.

Crabs

I got them. From Shanghai. It's crab-season.

Finished early

…way early. More early than last year. To make up for eat we're
going to a Chinese place later tonight, with some Chinese coworkers od
Masami. Pics to follow.

Coco farm harvest festival

It's time, once again, for the harvest festival.

More pics as things progress. Like the lines to the food-stalls. Too
tasty stuff means crazy waiting time.

Yes!

Delivered Normal pizza (!) without potatoes, corn or mayo. Finally all
is good in heaven.
