Afterparty 3

Final stop, Shinjuku, back with the infodesign- (and some Kouken-) kids. Karaoke and spontanious snoozing on the floor.

(It’s 5 in the morning. I…look like this when it’s…5 in the morning)

Afterparty 2

Second stop, Shibuya. Graphic design kids, all dressed up. Funny.

(Hiromi staying true to those hiphop-roots the kids here seems to like so much, despite his suit)
(Marine in a pinch)
(Last night a dj didn’t save my life. From smoking)

Afterparty 1

Afterparties with the teachers, others. First stop, Tokyo-dome hotel with the Information Design kids.

(Ikuya lacks enzymes and makes huge savings on drinks. The event offered free drinks, though, as evident by Yuumin on the right)
(Not sure who that was. Maybe Toshi, but probably Ikkun. He’s everywhere)
(Yagi, posing as highway-wildlife about to get run over by a car)
(Info-Kids dressed up as adults)

ipod dj-battle. honestly, that was the title of the event.

I used to go to clubs every week first year I got here. But now I don’t don’t even oggle the pole-dancers anymore. Suggested the drags in robot-custom get up there instead but that idea didn’t get much support. Guess it’s just me who see the entertainment value in scandly clad robots dangling from the roof.

Digitalism

A few weeks after I’m reminded why I didn’t enjoy working in Sweden: artsy people (this event had a lot of em). I’ve a very, very hard time standing art- and designerfolks. But they do take fun pictures.

Regardless, the event itself were all right. They vj’d this great Denki Groove video to completely different beats. And I were there with Yamane. She made the thing spin.

The night of Tacos

I got obscene pictures. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to post those on this blog. Regardless – the night of tacos was a success. It’s a yearly thing. Why don’t you come by next year?

Butamaru

Some say the soccer-club is the worse. I must agree. Going back on Friday.

(Opens up with a solo)(Still on the solo)

More kouken goodness

(Upholding peace is an important part of Japanese culture)
(Yes yes, kouken is not only the place to be, it’s a place to come. It’s a place where you’d be judged by what you’re saying, while shivering, and not by what you are wearing)

Did I mention I love you guys?

That’s it I’m done with these things almost

Casablancas Uchiage.

(He came! He came! The speedskater from hell)
(Dear deer in the headlights)
(Some…some couldn’t wait for the next-next place which would naturally be karaoke)
(The Befriendening)
(Some were clinging for me to put on a nice pose)
(Perfect eyebrows)
(Unsynchronized posing)
(Yeah yeah, you play cool now…)
(…when seconds later someones stomach comes out)(I think the mic was on)
(How beautiful isn’t it(?), the today you live in?)
(Joy joy joy)
(That last comment wasn’t too clear, now was it. Click for the (real) music video)
(Who ever said J don’t understand irony/sarcasm? Actually I can’t tell anymore, I’ve sort of given up)
(The kid can dance. But is he…The Best kid?)
(We’re still doing “Joy” by Yuki btw.)
(Wellwell, Oats + Curry, everyone)

Tuesday

(This….this is the kind of pictures art-student kids take. I tried to copy it, but…it’s hard. Almost nailed the “blandness” part, but it needs even more)

Wrote Tam another one of those stupid mails. All I remember from Tuesday. That, and making tomorrows graphic.

Friday

Uchiage again, this time with the people from Yumi Kaoru.
(Making sure the “thanks for the hard work” were felt with more hard work.)

(Rockstar pose)
(Wasabi found its way to the table. And up our noses)
(2nd stop, the place next door)

Those amazing Japanese eyes

(Hannin)

I went jogging for the first time in months. 3 times this week.
First comment from Hiromi (guy) when meeting him: “did you loose some weight?”

Amazing.
