Golden Weekly

(The right side was where it was at)

I went to the beach last week, followed by a trip to Fukuoka for 5 days, followed by a few nights out in Tokyo. But before all of this I dropped my camera to the ground , obliterating any chances of capturing those moments.

Luckily, other people had theirs. Photos which I will get, post right here. and maybe write a little about.
I’ll get it sometime next week.

Until then here’s a picture of some of those cool guys in front of a mountain.

Tenki groove, not yet

(The Hashimoto-guys weren’t the only ones reading super radical gags yesterday)

Badz games

(Pandas straying from their repetative bamboo diet)

Yasu, Bashi, Naopi & I had a few drinks on me, celebrating that I now have some money in my account.
No pictures from last night but the above one is a fair recreation.

(Come to think of it, dogs do make good armrests)

The following morning, after stopping at my place, someone found a few issues of “Super radical gag family” (Ura yasu in Japanese) under my table. I’d make the most excellent internet-cafe manager.

(Awesome present left on my monitor)

The Niro de Hanami

Caspers (exchange student at Tamabi) girlfriend Josefine (Half Scottish), were doing some work/interning at Kenwood. She uhm…kindly…always que up Craig David for me whenever we head on out to a karaokebox.

Sadly she was leaving Japan, so her French boss Fabian organized a farewell-party (Why with all the way too many goodbyes lately?). The place we went to had plastic cherry-blossoms indoors. But the real blossoming was when Fabian turned into De Niro. Cheeks turned pink. Everywhere. He could have got us into any place had we just figured which side the dimple were supposed to go on.

Tacos

So, yet another late post. For christmas I served up some tacos, nachos and margeritaz for my fellow Tamabi boys & girls. I also tried to arrange a “puresento koukan”, meaning, I urged everyone to bring a wrapped gift and we’d have a little christmas present exhange. Since only 3 out of 15 got the message I, and many others, had to settle for a 100 yen cigarrete lighter from the secret-santa bag of fun.

News, today

e-pill (Eddie) + wife came over, as mentioned.

We had food, and a blast, also as mentioned.

Eddies friend Risa (to the right) got us into Liquidroom in Ebisu. Liquidroom, where I happened to bump into Kazue. Haven’t seen her since we broke up about a year and half ago. I spent 10 minutes in shock, another 10 minutes in some confused state, 5-6 minutes having a ‘long time no see hope life is treating you well’-hug, 2 minute waving off her boyfriend who were just too jealous, 4 minutes being punched in the stomach by Kazue for unknown reason, 2-3 more minutes waving of boyfriend once more and, finally, 5 minutes in more shock whereas after she gracefully left with her company.
By that time I thought it would be great to get to know the sponsors of the event, Redbull or Smirnoff. Either which one it was, both were free at the bars inside.

Least we forget…

Gyouza today. How do you know it’s made by a barbaric foreigner? Because he, I, serve it with sallad.

Nabenabenabe

We pot-heads had some nabe on Tuesday. To those who doesn’t know what nabe is, it’s any ol’ big pot, usually filled over and over with meat, tofu, veggies, mushrooms and perhaps some fat noodles called udon.
The nabe was over at my friend Tsubasas place, who’s toilet I think (by the way) looks troubled.

Also had some “Kaki”. Which we absolutely had to look up in the dictionary. “Japanese peach” is what I would call a Kaki. Looks like an orange tomato though. Practice makes perfect.

Ramen, right by my station

This is Japanese ramen, Kyuushuu style. Yes, the meat floating so harmoniously is pig of course. Also featured in the bowl is seaweed strings, garlic, sesame-seeds and some other stuff that I’ve yet to learn the English/Swedish word for. And that little bowl of spicy vegetables? That’s from some self-service buckets on the table. At lunchtime this set comes accompanied by a plate of mini-dumplings and a complimentary bowl of rice topped with cod-roe.

See, this is what we are missing in Sweden; 5 meals in one.

Thank you very mashitta

I got some nice birthday presents from Sweden in the mail today.
– The winter set: scarves, caps, gloves, socks with snowflake prints, lip-balm, rose hip-soup.
– The university set: a Zara hoodie and loads of candy. Candy which I’ll be sharing with my friends at Tamabi this week, especially the santaclaus-shaped foamy ones.
