Better pictures later. These are from my phone:
Went there and got treated well. Very, very well (as in “you can skip that, and that, go straight to freedom).
It’s all in the name-value of the place I’m going too. A secret club if you will, like the stonecutters, that opens up doors. All good.
Met up with Yasu and the byspice gang after the exhibition. That means enjoying some food and drinks. Usually too much of the latter.
After too much of the latter I stumbled my way to Masami. And onto her feet, ruining (besides the illusion of me being considorate) a pair of 70.000 yen d&g shoes.
Bonus: also ruined – feelings.
The graphic kids had theirs last weekend.
Were late so I missed the screening of the ads I were in (and narrating, for some).
Exhibition suprise: far less nudity than expected for design students.
I used to go to clubs every week first year I got here. But now I don’t don’t even oggle the pole-dancers anymore. Suggested the drags in robot-custom get up there instead but that idea didn’t get much support. Guess it’s just me who see the entertainment value in scandly clad robots dangling from the roof.
Hoshino performed, in a breathtaking sweep of characters; flight attendant, elevator-lady, departmentstore saleswoman and finally a screaming drugstore marketer.
…but it didn’t stop there. She went on to let us all in on the secrets. Not just the different tones in voice, but the special lingo, the bodylanguage and the sales gimmicks.
Hoshino could become anything great when she grows up. Luckily she never will.
A few weeks after I’m reminded why I didn’t enjoy working in Sweden: artsy people (this event had a lot of em). I’ve a very, very hard time standing art- and designerfolks. But they do take fun pictures.
Regardless, the event itself were all right. They vj’d this great Denki Groove video to completely different beats. And I were there with Yamane. She made the thing spin.
Remember those things I do? Or somewhat did; I’m wrapping them up.
Uploading the first batch today and the remaining bunch during the week. Check in now and/or later.
I’m proud of some. Hectic but good, fun work. They have a home at www.peterhainer.com.
Have some great friends who have helped me too – wether it was something major as copy or just …positioning a camera flash for me. (This one amongs many comes to mind 😉 )
Now I need a brake. I’ve earned it.
These last few weeks have seen a busy me. And so I will remain for quite a while as I am somehow ‘booked’ until mid-march.
In spite of everything I do get to swing by a few beautiful scenaries for some projects. Like this other Wednesday.
I got obscene pictures. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to post those on this blog. Regardless – the night of tacos was a success. It’s a yearly thing. Why don’t you come by next year?
